BUAFL Final
nfluk.comThe undefeated Southampton Stags and Staffordshire Stallions have booked their places in the BUAFL final on Easter Saturday, and nfluk.com will be along for the ride to get you ready for this weekend’s big game. Throughout the week nflukTV will be providing interviews and previews of the final matchup as we highlight the strength of the BUAFL. Tune in to see interviews with some of the players who will be starring at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday. The Stags will be representing the BUAFL Southern Conference after downing the Hertfordshire Hurricanes 19-7 in Southampton on Sunday. Tam Amachree’s opening touchdown leveled the scores at 7-7 early in the second quarter, and from then on it was all Southampton as the Stags’ defense held on to the win. A touchdown pass from quarterback Michael Katnik to receiver Dominic Olney and a scoring run from Katnik sealed the win for Southampton, who remained unbeaten and made it back to the final after a one-year absence. The offensive MVP went to Amachree, who carried 35 times for 207 yards and the touchdown against a very solid Hurricanes defense. Staffordshire STALLIONSStaffordshire booked their place in the final with a road win over the Newcastle Raiders that was also based on the solid play of their star runner. Edem Goka had a total of 339 yards rushing and four touchdowns in the Stallions’ 34-28 win. The Stallions built a 20-6 half-time lead, but the Raiders raced back in the third quarter. It was not long before the Stallions had lost the lead as Newcastle, from the one, pounded the ball in and converting the two point conversion. The Stallions had eight minutes to march down the field and retake the lead. Behind strong play from the offensive line, Goka was able to run the ball, taking chunks of yardage and then scoring the touchdown that restored Staffordshire’s lead for good. Goka’s outstanding play will be the focus for Southampton’s defense as they prepare for this weekend’s final. Original Article at nfluk.com nfluk.com
