KEEPING MEMORY ALIVE
|

| FATHER RAISES CASH FOR BURSARY FUND SET UP AFTER DAUGHTER'S DEATH. Bee Gees Fever is set to grip Eastleigh Football Club with a fundraising concert for a charity which helps less fortunate students clinch a university place.
The Lisa Wilson Scholarship Fund was set up by her father, Clive, president of Eastleigh Football Club, following the Southampton graduate's death in a car accident. The 23-year-old was travelling to Ayres Rock in Australia when she died. She had just graduated with a 2.1 BA in Business Management at Southampton Institute and her reward to herself had been a round-the-world trip.
The charity set up in her memory helps fund bursaries for less fortunate students at Southampton Solent University - formerly Southampton Institute, and Bee Gees Fever is the latest in a series of fundraising events. Since 1999, Bee Gees Fever has been wowing audiences across the UK and Europe with it's stunning live tribute to the Brothers Gibb. Tickets for the event, on March 11, cost £10 and can be bought from Eastleigh Football Club by calling 023 8061 3361 or Clive Wilson on 01794 390 309 or 07798 922 222
The Southampton STAGS American Football team have received £1,000 from the fund to sponsor their kit. The team draws it's members from both the University of Southampton and Southampton Solent University and was presented with the cheque by Mr Wilson. Members of the Southampton STAGS help with the fundraising and support other charity events on behalf of the scholarship fund.
SPONSORHIP DEAL: The Southampton STAGS receive their £1,000 cheque from Clive Wilson, who set up the Scholarship fund in memory of his daughter, Lisa. |
